School Supply Haul 2016 – Homeschool Books and Fun-Schooling

We all love when the boxes of new school books and supplies come in right? I call the boxes from Amazon my adult Christmas. I watch the tracking, I get excited when each box hits my doorstep, then I have to show everyone our school supply haul. It’s exciting times.

I get so many ideas looking at other’s posts and videos showcasing what they choose. Here I want to share what we have. There’s not much homeschool curriculum in our here, we’re moving closer and closer to interest-led learning, unschooling, whatever you want to call it. I like to think of it as real life learning that is more interesting for the both of us. Doesn’t matter what the name is. Let’s get to the good stuff.

The vast majority of our supplies come from Amazon because we are prime members and who can argue with free shipping. We get supplies from a few other places, especially some of the special STEM supplies or actual curriculum. I will link to everything that I can so if you are interested you can click and check it out for yourself. If you’re not a homeschooler MANY of my choices can be used for fun, for presents or for extra practice outside of school.

Here is the YouTube video that I made showing the bulk of my school supply haul. Please see below for the links and the other products we ordered that were not here in time for the video.

Some of these links are affiliate links. If you choose to click on them and make a purchase I may receive a small commission. It doesn’t cost you any extra, and it doesn’t add any steps for you. It does, however, help support my blog and my goal of becoming a stay at home mom. Thank you for your support. Now on to the fun!

List of Our 2016/17 School Supply Haul

Evolution Board Game.

This game is so amazing that I plan to make a video dedicated to this one game.

Educational Game - Evolution Flight

Interactive History Adventure Books

Solar Science

Language Arts, History, and Geography

This is all together because we utilize bits and pieces of the 4th grade reading with history from Bookshark. We also supplement with videos and activities related to books we’re reading. I bought the Scrambled States of America book also. I don’t recommend buying that if you buy the game. It is included in a small pamphlet in the game. If you have the Epic reading app it is also available as an audio book.

This isn’t our entire reading list, I will post a printable for that. This is just what we have purchased and read already. I put a lot of time and effort into researching books for Miss E and, thankfully, she has REALLY enjoyed these. In fact, she doesn’t hate reading anymore!!! Gasp! Can I get a mom award, please?

I feel like I purchased a lot more. This has been keeping us busy enough this year so far along with books we already own, Brave Writer, Netflix, YouTube, Teaching Textbooks, Sequential Spelling, and other projects and activities. Along with all of these products we’ve started utilizing notebooking this year, and we are LOVING it. What a game changer! I purchased a lifetime membership over at Notebooking Pages. You can sign up for a free membership and get a boat load of free notebooking pages. Then you can get periodic emails of their sales. They have an occasional 50% off sale. I waited to for that, although I do think it is still a great value at full price. You can choose to split up the cost into three separate payments. I have also been using their notebooking publisher to make some of my own pages. I will hopefully be able to post those as free printables soon…..still trying to figure out how all of this blogging stuff works!

Thank you for checking out my school supply haul! What are some of your favorite purchases this homeschool year?

This post may contain affiliate links. All opinions are my own, and I will only recommend what I have used and has benefited my family. Revenue generated from these links supports the maintenance of this blog and my school supply addiction. If you have any questions please see my disclosure page for more details.
